Lincoln School

Lincoln School
19 Kennard Rd.
Brookline, MA 02445
(617) 879-4600

Lincoln School is located on the South side of Route 9 on Kennard Road off of Walnut Street, between Cypress Street and Warren Street. It was built in 1994 to replace the old Lincoln School, which is still standing about a quarter of a mile down the road.

Lincoln School serves students that live on both sides of Route 9 including the Pill Hill and White Street neighborhoods, as well as children who live East of the Brookline Reservoir as far as Pond Ave which borders Boston.

Kennard Road is a quiet street with only a few homes. The real estate in the Lincoln School district is quite varied. A few of the side streets in immediate proximity to the school are dead end streets that feature magnificent victorians. Pill Hill is an affluent neighborhood too with some old, historic homes. If you’re looking for land to go with your home, Pill Hill and a couple of the streets South of the school (Codman and Perrin) are your best options. There are a number of single family homes and condos off of Cypress Street, too.

Lincoln School students can participate in a number of academic, artistic and athletic experiences before, during and after school. In addition to homework centers, students can participate in Chess Club, PALS (Performing Arts at Lincoln School), Scrabble Club, the Thaler Program (a student work program), Intramural Sports, Lego Club, Model U.N., Continental Math League, Math Counts, Science Design Challenges, Math Wizard, Drama Club, and the National Geography Bee.

The MBTA Green Line D train stops at Brookline High School (a.k.a. Brookline Hills) and is the closest subway station to Lincoln School. It runs from Newton to Boston making stops along the way. It takes approximately seven minutes to walk from Lincoln to the Brookline Hills station.

The 60 Bus also operates close to the Lincoln School making stops along Route 9. The 60 line takes people from the Chestnut Hill Mall to Kenmore Square with stops along the way, including stops on Brookline Avenue in the Longwood Medical Area and Fenway Park.
